Engine controversy: New compression ratio measurements from 1 June
With less than a week until the 2026 season begins, the FIA has announced a compromise on the contentious engine compression ratio issue. Hot-condition measurements will begin on 1 June rather than August, and stricter rules for 2027 have also been confirmed.
