Failed experiment? Mandatory two-stop rule for Monaco GP scrapped for 2026
Formula 1 has dropped the mandatory two-stop rule for the Monaco Grand Prix. The experiment was introduced last year in an attempt to make the race more exciting, but the narrow street circuit's limited overtaking opportunities meant the strategy change drew heavy criticism from drivers and teams.
